Drummers please help.?
How do I tune my drum set to produce punk sounds. I have a 8", 12", 13" and 16" toms and a 14"Snare drum. I've tried endlessly! What do I do? Do I need to stuff the drum or add some overtone reducing accessory? Should the heads be tight or loose?
I like the Rancid Drums or NoFX,but just lead me somewhere!

I used to drum before majoring on guitar. The bottom skin has to be loose and the top one, tighter. This will cut the overtones. also, I would suggest using the Drum Dial to give you the proper torque.
If you need the notes for the drum. The snare is Tuned to C, the toms are tuned to D and E and the floor toms are tuned to F and G.
Bass drum is tuned to G. This way, when you play with a bass player, it will sound really tight.
