My Cat is playing rough with her 3 wk old kittens, should I brake it up until she settles down?

I usually play rough my cat and she cuddles around my arm biting and latching onto me. She's been inside for about a month now and has 3 wk old kittens that have started to venture out of their bedding. My cat has started doing the same play fighting with her little ones, at first I broke it up a little but should i be doing this and is she just toughening them up??

That is perfectly normal. My one boy cat is 32 pounds and always plays rough with my little one who was the runt of the litter, and I get scared that he will hurt her but she plays right back, so I would not worry unless mom is obviously aggravated (hissing, showing teeth, batting at the kittens) just let nature take its course.

If you hear mom growling then you know she is mad and is no longer playing-if this is the case put her into a room by herself for a few minutes so she can have a break. Just like every mother they all need a break from the babies sometimes. Just make sure you give her enough attention so that she does not become jealous.
