What jewelry set should I give my mom for christmas?
I'm trying to pick a jewelry set to buy for my mom for christmas (just getting a head start...) and I've basically narrowed it down to one website, but I'm not sure which one to get still! You can see the choices at www.larkgems.com when you go to the shop tab on the site.
FYI: I really like the green amethyst one, that's sort of an interesting piece. But I also really, really like the pink sapphire one, and her birthday was in September, sooo... Any other suggestions?
Oh, and the reason I've basically narrowed it down to this site is because I've bought from them before, it's free shipping, it got here within like 2 days, it's all handmade in the US and the prices are pretty much the best I've seen.
Since it IS early to be shopping... use this timing to your advantage... casually browse the site or two you like with your Mom present or email her the link to the sites if she does not live near you... tell her you are needing ideas for a friend of yours and ask her opinion often... she will tell you her likes and dislikes on the sites... she may even unkowingly pick her gift when you hear her gush over it and decide yourself that it shall be the one. You may be surprised to learn what you thought she would like she unkowingly tells you she wouldn't be caught dead wearing as she gives you her feedback helping you with your 'friend' !
Look at what type of jewelry your Mom OFTEN currently wears... if you find her new pieces that are the type she wears she will enjoy your gift so much more and you will as well when you see her wearing it again and again... if you get her a piece that is a type she never wears in the first place... you have a keepsake in the form of jewelyry that she will wear once or twice a year... but it will sit in a box the rest of the time...
Admit it... when you get a gift you know you will use alot because you like its style SOO much... you are TRULY happy... but when you get a gift that was someone else's idea of style... yet you loathe... you will politely accept it... but won't be truly fullfilled from the gift... a good gift giver wants the recipient to have both! Joy with the gift and happiness at having been given it rather than having to buy it themselves!
