Where can i find non-costumey medieval clothes?
I don't want to look ridiculous, and I'm not dressing up for a fancy dress party; I just want some bog standard, rough linen shirts resembling those that might have been worn by peasants. Just for everyday wear! I don't want to bust my wallet, but I do want to look passable, yet unmistakably behindthe-times, so to speak. Any ideas? No lavishly coloured silk doublet affairs, I suppose I don't need to say.
