What color goes with dark forest green when it comes to painting a house?
So far, i have painted the living room a dark forest green, which extends into the den. I was actually thinking of adding some accent colors to offset the boldness of the green, maybe with a creamish gold color. My boyfriend wants to use a burgundy maroon as an accent wall. I think that the dark green would clash with the burgundy and that the cream would be a better accent since it would contrast and match with the cream. Any ideas?
I thought a nice creamy/gold color. I guess it depends on the furniture and interior decorations your going to add. Plus the lighting as well. I think burgandy would be to overwhelming with the dark forest green. If you can, I would add a mirror opposite the wall of the second color so it mimics on the dark green wall. I would apply a textured paint, or sponge effect on the second color. Have fun.
