I am going to use redken color gels to cover up old reddish faded haircolor...?
I am going to color my friends hair. It is a medium brown and she has colored it with "at home" coloring kits in the past. But now it has all grown off and left the ends of her hair a reddish faded mess. What color of redken color gels should i use to cut the reddish? I know to color all the new for a while before i run thru the damaged or it will grab it darker.. was just wondering what shade should cutthat red out? thanks!
she also had gray in her hair... and it is damages from perming/coloring...
if you are darkening then use the shades eq line. if its really red your going to need something with a green in it like a 6gn. if you just want a really pretty chocolate brown use 4nb with 5n apply to the base wait about 20 min the pull througj for about 10-15. but all of these really depend on the level of the hair and the damage.
