****Help me choose my Girlfriend's Engagement Ring!!!!!!!!?
I have around a $4500 budget for this diamond. I have found two my private dealers any input would be phenomenal.
GIA labs----1.22 carat pear shaped diamond, SI1, I color----$4130+250 14 k white gold band
Non Certified from reputable dealer---1.52 carat radiant, VS2, H color---$4500+150 14 k white gold band
I don't have to pay before I have them in hand and can send them back if i don't like them...please if you have any input. Whether it be a diamond dealer you know, or anything at all please comment. THANK YOU
The 1.22 diamond is from a "wholesale" dealer in Texas.
The 1.52 is from a diamond/estate's dealer/buyer in Indiana.
I would never buy from Jared, Kay's, Shaw's, and especially Zales...worst deals on the planet.
aargh i've already answered your question like three times. post a picture of the dang thing so i can see it.
have you SEEN with your eyes the diamond. pears are tricky. look for and reject if they have a black bowtie. make sure the culet is directly underneath the widest part of the stone, because some people cut a broken in half marquise into a new "pear" shape and it is ghastly.
i am really good at looking at pear diamonds so if you post pictures i can help. radiants look like crushed ice and don't appeal to me personally. i would go with the pear.
also go learn more at the website pricescope.
i would consider this one. he's dropped the price a lot. look past the hideous setting and look at the stone. it has a pleasing shape. http://cgi.ebay.com/Fine-Estate-Vintage14K-Gold-1-10CT-Pear-Diamond-Ring-/130386985058?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Vintage_Fine_Jewelry&hash=item1e5bab8062
this pear is appropriate for a 24 year old to buy his fiancee.
it is more shield shaped. look past the hideous setting and look at the stone. get it reset into a plain solitaire at jareds.
