I want to sell a certified 1.01 carat Princess Cut Loose Diamond,NEW!?
it sells in high street store (set) for £4,975 (less £975 for setting) but this stone has a certificate from Anchor Cert (Birmingham Assay Office). So, where can I get £1,400 for it?
The Achor Cert folks are not well known in the states as being a major diamond evaluation lab. Perhaps they are well known in the UK. The fact that your diamond is certified is good. You should have it reevaluated by an independent appraiser – he/she may be able to give you a better idea for what it is worth. Diamonds for resale by consumers never get anywhere near what the purchase price was unfortunately. The setting will get you scrap value unless it is a ‘designer’ setting.
