How can you dye dyed black hair a lighter color?
I used a dye from garnier nutrisse and now i want to go back to a light golden brown color, which i have already mistakenly tried dyeing over the black color and of course, did not work. The black was already starting to fade, so i thought it would be alright. Are there any drugstore bleachers or other techniques i could try? I heard dyeing it blonde and then a brown color worked for some people, but does it really? My hair is surprisingly still very healthy, so there are no concerns there.
you have to bleach the color out or strip it, then you can put the color that you want over that. i know it works becase i did it to my hair recently =]
