Did the change of a jelly of organic matter floating in primitive ocean take a billion years to become a cell?
All evolutionary changes occur on time scales of hundreds of millions of years.Did the evolution of cell from out of a lifeless jelly floating in a highly nutritious liquid( i.e ocean water containing many other categories of organic matter some dissolved and others not dissolved like vast floating jellies) take a few billion years? Is all this argument at all correct and confirm to existing scientific ideas on the subject?
